The DeCosmos Fine Arts Society donated $4,705 to the McMillan Arts Centre, the proceeds of its “Raise the Roof” fundraiser to fund a new roof at the MAC. More than 240 pieces of art were donated and the sales on the weekend of Oct. 18 and Oct. 19 were brisk, according to a news release by DeCosmos. “The success of this event was thanks not only to the DeCosmos artists who contributed the art but to everyone who came from near and far to make a purchase in support of this worthy cause,” said Show Chair Sandy Trafananko. “We even had one visitor from the Netherlands purchase a piece as a memento of her trip to the Oceanside area.”
