Deb Peters developed a love of drawing and painting at any early age. She was fortunate to be part of an artistic environment at home and with her community in the Fraser Valley.  She also worked as a potter, working in a Japanese style, selling across Canada and Japan.  Studying art in university, moved her into education, teaching art, music and writing.

Deb continues to be inspired by the island’s natural surroundings, other artists, travel, poetry and music. She works in  acrylics, oils and watercolours to illustrate the beauty that is abundant around Vancouver Island.

Deb currently teaches art in various locations in the Oceanside area, featuring her loose impressionistic style.

Joanne Ayley grew up in Quebec and Ontario and her background includes many years as a graphic designer and writer of marketing materials. While working full time, she took numerous courses and studied many different forms of art; both at George Brown College and through many professional artists. When she delved into acrylics, she realized she had found her medium. Since moving to Oceanside in 2016, Joanne has really embraced her art.

Joanne paints bright and colourful landscapes, wildlife and fun flowers using acrylics. She loves visual drama and contrast so tends to use lots of sharp edges and complimentary colours. Living on Vancouver Island provides her with endless inspiration.

Faith Love-Robertson is an award-winning artist who was educated in design and graphics at Mount Royal College in Calgary, Faith has followed up with many classes taught by well-known artists.

Watercolours, oils and pastels are her favourite mediums but she dabbles in whatever interests her.  Her work is very realistic and at first glance many observers could mistake her paintings for photographs.

Faith teaches regularly to both adults and children covering everything from drawing to watercolour to clay.  She continues to take classes and finds as much inspiration from
