Some members of DeCosmos may be interested in joining one of the groups of enthusiastic artists that meet on Tuesday and Friday afternoons.

The artists, who work on their own projects, benefit from the camaraderie and suggestions of other attendees.

The groups meet at the McMillan Arts Centre, 133 McMillan Street in Parksville and participants share the cost of the room rental.  The number of participants is subject to the availability of space.

At the moment, the Tuesday group from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, has two temporary places available
Wednesday group, 12:30 pm to 3:30pm has 1 place free and the Thursday group 10:00 to 1:00pm has 13 places available

Please contact Donna Noble directly for more information.  Telephone number is on the Members’ page of the website.

We have designated space at the Parksville Civic Centre and members of DeCosmos may exhibit art work there.  The next hanging will be February 27, 2020 at 10:30 a.m., and the current show will be taken down on that day.    If you have new pieces to show, bring them in with the information attached to  the back of the painting (artist name, title of work, price and contact information).  The registration fee is $2 per painting.  Please contact Faith Love-Robertson three days before the hanging so that labels can be made.  DeCosmos takes NO COMMISSION on the sale of the paintings at the PCC and the show will hang until the end of June….date to be verified later.

The Brant Show this year will fall on the 4th and 5th of April, 2020 and we will be able to submit paintings.  The entry fee will be $5.00 per painting.  Commission is 10% of the sale price.  Cards were popular last year and each artist can submit 5 cards in total at $6.00 per card.  New entry forms will be forthcoming.
