Charity Art Sale

Father’s Day – Sunday June 16th  9:00 am – 3:00 pm

DeCosmos Fine Arts Society is sponsoring a charity art sale to coincide with the Father’s Day Car Show in Qualicum Beach.

100% of the net proceeds will be donated to the D69 Backpack Program for the Oceanside School District.  For more information on the backpack program go to district69backpackprogram.com

Participating artists must agree to donate all proceeds of their sales to the backpack program.   You will receive a charitable donation receipt for your donation, less any credit card fees.

The maximum price per piece will be $200.

All types of art are acceptable – Paintings, pottery, sculpture, carvings, glass, etc.

The sale will be held in Adam Walker’s Office which is right in the center of the car show action.  During the car show, announcements will be made over the loud speakers directing visitors to the art sale.

DeCosmos will be sending out press releases to all local and BC media that will focus on the art community giving back and the cooperation of different groups, such as the Seaside Cruizers.  Both the Qualicum and Parksville High Schools are creating advertising posters.

All Oceanside artists are invited to participate.

Registration forms available here

The DeCosmos Fine Arts Society is based on friendship, fellowship and the encouragement of artistic growth for all members.

The DeCosmos Fine Arts Society began in 1966 when a small group of artists decided to get together to share ideas and inspiration. The group was instrumental in the establishment of the Parksville and District Arts Council and continues to be a vibrant part of the arts community in the Oceanside area.

Everyone is welcome; practicing artist or art lover. It is not necessary to have work juried to become a member. Members come from all over the mid island area. DeCosmos now has over 100 members including artists of all levels, from beginners to professionals, as well as those simply interested in the appreciation of art.
