Membership in DeCosmos Fine Arts Society is open to anyone interested in the arts, practicing artist or art lover. New members can join any time!
New annual memberships and renewals are $35. Memberships renew in September.
Pro-rated New Memberships, beginning in 2024:
- January – March new memberships are reduced to $25; they would be renewable in September of same year at $35.
- April – August new memberships $35; they would be renewable in September of following year at $35.
Monthly General Meetings are held from September to May on the 3rd Thursday of the month. at the Sunrise Ridge Resort in Parksville, B.C. Please see the “General Meetings” tab for more information.
Meetings typically begin at 1:00 p.m. with a short business session. A presentation from an invited guest artist begins about 1:30 p.m. and lasts for about an hour. Guests are welcome for a $5 donation. There will be a short refreshment break; tea, coffee and goodies will be available. Please bring your own mug!
There are no scheduled meetings in July and August. Social meetings may be held in June and December.

- Open Studio at The McMillan Art Centre (fees vary, depending on number of participants; subject to availability of space). Weekly.
- Access to workshops and classes (costs will vary)
- A summer event, usually a bus trip to various art related venues (cost varies depending on destination). Summer events have been paused during Covid.
- Special presentations and events
- 10% discount at Qualicum Art Supply & Framing and Iron Oxide in Nanaimo
- Access to the password-protected members only area of the website.
